About Me

I’m here to listen to the story of your body’s aches and pains, especially those that just won’t seem to go away, no matter what you try to do to fix them. I will do everything I can to help you move with ease as you live, work, and play.

As an RMT in BC, I am trained to use hands-on methods to assess and treat soft tissues and joints. I approach my treatments from a biopsychosocial perspective; I recognize that biological, psychological, and social factors can all have significant impacts on physical pain and discomfort. I have great respect for the intricacy and depth of the nervous system and use a science-based approach in my practice. I enjoy working with people at various stages of life, especially those who are pregnant, who are parents of young children, or whose grandchildren keep them young at heart.

Roxoliana has had a lifelong interest in the moving body. She spent many years in Toronto ON competing nationally and internationally in rhythmic gymnastics and many more performing Ukrainian folk dance on stages big and small. She studied contemporary dance at Etobicoke School of the Arts and then at Simon Fraser University. She earned her BFA and created and performed dance professionally for several years in Vancouver BC.

At that point, Roxoliana became a student of alignment-based yoga to resolve the aches and pains that had developed in her body over the years. Her interest slowly began to turn towards helping others find ease in their own lives. She studied with Open Source Yoga and taught for several years in Nelson BC. She then studied at Victoria BC’s West Coast College of Massage Therapy and graduated in 2018. She is now a Practising member of the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia (CMTBC) and an Active member of the Registered Massage Therapists Association of BC (RMTBC). She lives in Victoria West with her husband and young daughter.
