Yoga brings together the body, breath, mind and heart. It gives us time to pay attention to each of these aspects of ourselves. It gives us space to harmonize them so that we feel integrated and whole. In this way yoga helps to reveal the steadiness, the ease, and the light that lie deep within each of us.
When the body is mindfully aligned, focused effort allows us to integrate and expand the body and to create a spacious container for the breath. The mind is free to observe and to guide these actions towards serving the heart. The heart of you holds the heart of your yoga; it holds why you come to this practice. Listen for this why always, and practice in appropriate ways that honour the heart.
